{"id":9100,"date":"2019-06-05T09:36:56","date_gmt":"2019-06-05T09:36:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ilbotolo.com\/?p=9100"},"modified":"2026-05-18T09:17:40","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T09:17:40","slug":"il-botolo-and-komeko-a-gluten-free-pairing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ilbotolo.com\/en\/il-botolo-and-komeko-a-gluten-free-pairing\/","title":{"rendered":"Il Botolo and Komeko, a gluten free pairing"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"9100\" class=\"elementor elementor-9100\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e3c7fcd e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"e3c7fcd\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-abc0a54 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"abc0a54\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>On May 30 we took part with our wines in an event promoted by Japan\u2019s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, in order to present <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/KOMEKO.Japanese.Glutenfree\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Komeko<\/a>, a Japanese rice flour.<\/p><p>The event was held at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.presso.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Presso<\/a>, located in Via Paolo Sarpi, Milan, a venue that is particularly suitable for cooking shows and tasting events.<\/p><p>We were pleased to have the opportunity to show how our wines can be paired with traditional Japanese cuisine, and to get positive feed-back from guests attending the event, professionals coming from the Japanese food and beverage sector in Milan, as well as restaurateurs.<\/p><p>Komeko flour is suitable for gluten-free foods and is therefore particularly interesting for those with gluten intolerance and for celiacs. At the same time, the dishes prepared also demonstrated the versatility of the flour and how it can attract a wider audience of consumers.<\/p><p>The chef prepared some pasta dishes, pairing with il Botolo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilbotolo.com\/vini\/barbera-dasti-docg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barbera d\u2019Asti DOCG<\/a>, and a splendid Chiffon Cake that was happily paired with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilbotolo.com\/vini\/piemonte-doc-chardonnay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Piemonte DOC Chardonnay<\/a>.
